Byelaws

Our byelaws help us to protect and conserve the Hills and Commons for future generations and provide information for locals and visitors about how they can be responsible.  Any breach of a byelaw is illegal and can also be enforced by the Police.

Permissions for sponsored walks and events

If you're looking to run a sponsored walk or event on the Hills please make an application so we can provide permission for your event.  We've also produced some guidelines to help you plan your event.

The Hills and Commons are a popular place for walks, runs and other outdoor events so we need to make sure that the event fits in with other activities on the Hills and that all the arrangements are in place for your event to run smoothly.

Events that we've given permission for will appear on our events listing pages.
