Conservation days
If you've got a passion for the outdoors and like to be 'hands on' then this could be the opportunity for you. Conservation days are held up to six times a month and are practical sessions to conserve the habitats of the Hills and Commons.
Activities may include coppicing and tree planting, pond clearance, removing bracken and bramble shading wild flowers, small tree and scrub clearance.
It's a great way to get some fresh air and exercise with a great group of like-minded people whilst doing something worthwhile for the Malvern Hills and Commons.

Volunteer Site Wardens
Volunteer Site Wardens adopt a patch or a special wildlife area where they focus their efforts on litter picking, habitat management or simply keeping a close eye on it and reporting any issues to the Trust.
This is a great way to learn more about the conservation of local wildlife and get to know your local area better.
Project volunteers
In addition to the opportunities above, we also undertake one-off projects which offer new volunteer opportunities. In recent years we have worked with volunteers in the following tasks:
- Access volunteers - clearing views from benches, clearing vegetation from signage
- Bat surveyors - recording and surveying rare bats on the Malvern Hills
- Bench surveyors - recording number and condition of benches and their views on the Hills and Commons.
