We were established in 1884, created from an Act of Parliament.
The Act was introduced to prevent encroachment of the Malvern Hills, preserve its natural aspect and keep them open for public enjoyment.
140 years later, despite needing to adapt to changes to habitats, the climate and the visitor experience, the purpose of our work has remained the same:
To care for the Hills in a way that protects their character, while keeping them open and enjoyable for everyone.
That means the decisions we make must balance safety and people’s access with nature.
We're committed to this work so people can continue use the Hills and Commons to enjoy recreation, find space to disconnect, and so that nature can thrive.
Not just for today, but for generations to come.
We're a registered charity. If you'd like to know more about how we’re governed, you’ll find it here.
