I studied Engineering at Birmingham and Manchester Universities before working in the Electricity Supply Industry.
After several career changes, including working as a Project Manager on various Engineering Projects, an IT Manager and gaining an MBA, I started my own business in 1999 to deliver specialised training in business skills to small/medium sized business to assist in the development of their middle managers. I retired in 2015.
I became a magistrate in 2008 and served as Chair of the Bench from 2017 to 2020.
My wife and I have been married for over 40 years and we have three children and four grandchildren in the village of Colwall.
I joined Colwall Parish Council in April 2021 and I represent the Council as a trustee of the Village Hall, where I am now the Treasurer.
As a member of the Planning and Development Committee I prepare reports to advise the Parish Council on applications to do work on the trees/hedgerows within the Parish.
My wife is disabled, and I have a keen interest in improving access to Public Rights of Way for the disabled.
