Fireworks

A very happy New Year's Eve to you all! A polite reminder to leave fireworks at home this evening, and enjoy watching the displays from the top of the Malvern Hills responsibly.

It is illegal to let off any firework in a public place, which includes the Malvern Hills and Commons, and this carries a fine of up to £5,000. Police may also issue an £90 Fixed Penalty Notice.

Fireworks can be dangerous to people and wildlife, and can frighten livestock. The rubbish left behind can also damage the special habitats we're all working to protect, as well as injuring/poisoning wildlife.

Our team work incredibly hard to preserve the character of the hills, and you can help us protect these special habitats by leaving no trace when you visit. This photo was taken on Worcestershire Beacon a few years ago.
