Long Service Awards

At the Malvern Hills Trust, we’re proud to say that working here is more than just a job – it’s something we care about. Our staff don’t just turn up each day; they bring dedication and a love for the incredible landscape we’re privileged to protect, making a difference for both people and nature.

Recently, we gathered to celebrate our Long Service Awards – recognising team members who have given anywhere between 5 and 20 years of dedicated service. In a team of fewer than 25, that’s no small achievement! Each person plays a vital role in caring for over 3,000 acres of the Malvern Hills and Commons, and it’s very much a case of “mucking in” together, helping each other wherever we can.

Whether it’s maintaining footpaths, supporting visitors and residents, restoring habitats, or preserving heritage, what shines through is the sense of community within our team. The longevity of our team members is a reflection not only of their dedication, but of the joy and pride that comes with working somewhere so special, with likeminded people.

John Michael, our Chair, awarded certificates at the celebration:

5+ years: Andy Pearce, Duncan Patterson, Simon Roberts, George Banner

10+ years: Jonathan Bills, Lisa Curtis

15+ years: Neil Tilley

20+ years: Rich Vale

To those who received awards this year – thank you. Your commitment has helped shape the Trust into what it is today. And to everyone who continues to work here – here’s to many more years of working together to care for the Malvern Hills and Commons!
